Robert Roeschlaub was born in Munich, Bavaria on July 6, 1843. In 1845, he emigrated with his parents to America where the family settled in Quincy, Ill. Roeschlaub participated in the American Civil War as a soldier with the 84th Ill. Infantry. After the war, he began his architectural training with Robert Bunce before following his father west to Colo. Territory in 1873 and later became known as the "first trained" architect in Denver. Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
